Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ukko Joukahainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taz Fodido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joukahainen's entrance music is Moonsorrow-Sankarihauta. A fine choice. Ukko Joukahainen had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joukahainen scores with a head kick.

Fodido is rocked!

It looks like Taz Fodido has been cut.
Joukahainen pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Joukahainen throws a head kick but Fodido moves out of range.
Fodido throws the kick towards the body but Joukahainen avoids it.

Fodido forces Joukahainen back against the cage and clinches.

Fodido throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Joukahainen's waist but Joukahainen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fodido off to one side.
Taz Fodido seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fodido decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Joukahainen is breathing heavily.
Fodido tries to pass to full mount but Joukahainen defends it.
Joukahainen is looking to control Fodido's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Joukahainen avoid being mounted?

Joukahainen throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Fodido wants to stand but Joukahainen is controlling his posture from full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fodido closes the distance and clinches up with Joukahainen, looking for a takedown. Fodido pushes Joukahainen against the cage but Joukahainen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ukko Joukahainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taz Fodido.
Fodido stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Joukahainen.
Fodido looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Joukahainen is fending him off so far but Fodido persists. Nope, Joukahainen circles away and we're back to standing.
Joukahainen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Fodido closes this distance looking for a takedown but Joukahainen circles away.

Fodido escapes and gets back to his feet.

and Joukahainen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Joukahainen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Taz Fodido will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fodido has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Joukahainen should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Fodido has tightened it up now! Joukahainen should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
