Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between l l (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ryan vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ryan vader is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
l fails to land the takedown.
l is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in vader's half guard.

vader manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. l manages to get himself to full guard.
l knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for vader on the ground.

l might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

vader has his foot on l's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. l works his way back into a safe position though.

You get the feeling that l really doesn't like being in this position too much.
l trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
l has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - vader's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

vader closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
l wants to get back to his feet but vader drags him back down.
vader tries for a kimura but l is defending well.
l is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but vader has just dragged him back down to the mat.

vader might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control l kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if vader can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
l l overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

l looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks vader with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
l shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and vader counters with a right hand to the body.
vader drives through with a takedown into guard.
vader stands and steps away. l gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
l l is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
vader gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now vader is on top in guard.
l l is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
l is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
vader wants to control from the top but l keeps moving.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for l, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
