Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodolpho Vasquel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Malonne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasquel comes to the cage accompanied by Ramstein Du Hast. Robert Malonne will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malonne wants to clinch.
No luck for Vasquel with that takedown attempt.
Vasquel shoots in and drives through. Malonne sprawls well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malonne displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vasquel.

Vasquel shoots in but Malonne avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Vasquel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Malonne defends it easily.
Malonne wants to stand but Vasquel has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Vasquel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Malonne manages to get himself to full guard.

Vasquel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Vasquel tries to move to mount but Malonne blocks the move with his legs.

Malonne pushes Vasquel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vasquel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Vasquel is going olschool here, as he tries to force Malonne to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Malonne shrugs it off.

Malonne is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Vasquel shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Malonne is trying to defend but Vasquel finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Vasquel postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Malonne badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Vasquel around the waist but Vasquel pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Vasquel is the winner by TKO! Vasquel jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
