The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordoza closes this distance looking for a takedown but Maximus circles away.
Maximus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cordoza fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cordoza swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cordoza shoots in but Maximus avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Maximus looks to land a left hand but Cordoza moved out of range nicely.
Maximus throws a quick inside leg kick.
Cordoza throws the left hand but Maximus avoids the punch easily.
Cordoza looks to land a left hand but Maximus moved out of range nicely.
Battery Maximus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maximus throws a head kick but Cordoza moves out of range.
Cordoza lands a jab to the head.
Cordoza keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Maximus.
Maximus's corner calls for a 1-2. Maximus obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Ronnie Cordoza has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch lands to the side of Cordoza 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Maximus keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cordoza.

Maximus lands a big head kick that sends Cordoza tumbling to the mat! Maximus takes a step backwards and waves Cordoza back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Cordoza is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Maximus knocks Cordoza out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
