Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kain Veldspar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shah Rokhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kain Veldspar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shah Rokhan!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Veldspar scores a takedown into full mount!

Veldspar goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rokhan turns into him and now he's in Veldspar's guard.

Veldspar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rokhan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Veldspar has an active guard here but Rokhan has managed to pass into half guard.

Rokhan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Veldspar defends it well.

Rokhan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Veldspar dives in and grabs Rokhan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rokhan pushes down on Veldspar's head and hops out.
Kain Veldspar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rokhan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Veldspar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Veldspar is not content to let Rokhan control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Veldspar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rokhan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Veldspar is breathing heavily.

Rokhan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Veldspar keeps working.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Veldspar feints and as Rokhan raises his hands in defense, Veldspar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rokhan seems keen to control Veldspar's posture.
Veldspar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rokhan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rokhan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Veldspar jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rokhan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rokhan and Veldspar has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Veldspar is pressing down on Rokhan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rokhan is holding on for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rokhan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Veldspar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Veldspar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rokhan has control of Veldspar's left arm, preventing Veldspar from doing any damage.
Veldspar won't allow Rokhan to sweep him here.

Veldspar has gone for a leg lock! Rokhan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Veldspar's guard.

Rokhan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rokhan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Rokhan gets to his feet - Veldspar follows without any prompting.
Rokhan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Veldspar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rokhan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rokhan moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Rokhan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Veldspar wants to control but Rokhan is keeping busy.

Rokhan looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Rokhan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Veldspar!
Veldspar is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rokhan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

You can see the frustration on Veldspar's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rokhan tries to get the hooks in deep but Veldspar pushed the leg off.
Rokhan lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Veldspar turns into Rokhan and is now in his guard.
Veldspar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rokhan is keeping the position for now.

Rokhan uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shah Rokhan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Veldspar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Veldspar drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rokhan dives on top into guard.
Rokhan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Veldspar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rokhan stands and throws Veldspar's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Rokhan passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Veldspar!

Rokhan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Shah Rokhan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well Rokhan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
