PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Lawler told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lawler lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tanner backs up against the cage.
Tanner on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Tanner drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lawler wants to stand and escape but Tanner is having none of it.
Tanner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lawler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lawler pushes Tanner off and scrambles back to his feet.
Lawler goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Tanner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lawler to the mat! Lawler manages to get full guard.

Tanner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lawler kicks Tanner off and gets to his feet.

Lawler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lawler drops Tanner with a beautiful combination! Tanner stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lawler is looking for the KO!

Tanner is rocked!
Lawler fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Tanner out cold! Brutal finish!
