Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tauno Potku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hjalmar Siilasvuo!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potku gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Siilasvuo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Potku tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Potku sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Siilasvuo is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Potku creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Siilasvuo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Potku lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Potku lands a big shot there that rocks Siilasvuo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Siilasvuo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Potku lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Siilasvuo is rocked!
Potku loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Siilasvuo scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Potku land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Potku stands and salutes the crowd.
