Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kingston James!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from James as Shaw shoots in.
James lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
James lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Shaw shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shaw showed some decent athleticism there.

Shaw looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
James has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shaw is working away from the top position though.

James is defending against the submission attempts here by Shaw.

Shaw is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so James is just riding it out for now. Shaw eventually gives up the hold.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Shaw seems to be working for a kimura but James defends the submission attempt.

James is looking to control Shaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can James avoid being mounted?

James pushes Shaw off and gets back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shaw shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Shaw. That's going to take a lot out of him.
James lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Shaw walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Shaw is breathing heavily.
Shaw closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away.
Shaw on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The crowd cheers as James lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shaw doesn't seem phased though.
James is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
James slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
James fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shaw on the side of the head.


Shaw is rocked!
James has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
James stuns Shaw with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oh Shaw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shaw loses concentration momentarily and James pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Shaw crashes face first to the mat, out cold! James finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kingston James!
