Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jakaya Kikwete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Heart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kikwete might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Till I Collapse - Eminem. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heart moves out of range of the body kick from Kikwete.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Heart closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kikwete to the mat! Kikwete manages to get full guard.
Heart controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Heart is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Heart drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kikwete looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kikwete looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kikwete!

Heart is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kikwete's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Heart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Heart takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Kikwete closes the distance and pushes Heart back into the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Heart takes a head kick and keeps coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Bret Heart's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kikwete fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Heart manages to avoid it.
Jakaya Kikwete is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kikwete will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kikwete darts in and clinches Heart up against the cage.
Kikwete is looking to break free of the clinch but Heart has double underhooks.

Kikwete pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Heart misses with a takedown attempt - Kikwete sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee asks Heart politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Heart prefers to stall for the moment though.
Heart is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kikwete looks calm but he's in trouble here. Heart gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kikwete is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Heart lets go of the hold and Kikwete can pop his arm back in it's socket.
