Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Chuva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charon Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charon Hawkins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A good leg kick by Hawkins.
Chuva misses with a straight right.
Hawkins throws a nice outside leg kick.
Chuva bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hawkins's head.

It looks like Charon Hawkins has been cut.
Hawkins on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Charon Hawkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chuva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A jab lands there for Chuva.
Hawkins misses with a body punch
and Chuva counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hawkins looks gassed!
Hawkins blocks a jab.
Chuva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hawkins was well out of range. Poor timing from Chuva.
Hawkins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chuva sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Chuva throws an overhand right that lands on Hawkins's shoulder, as Hawkins tries to avoid the shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Chuva.
Chuva lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hawkins missing with a left hand there. Chuva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Chuva throws a good cross that connects.

That has opened up Charon Hawkins's cut even more.
Chuva fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hawkins avoids the body shot from Chuva.
