PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Swanzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BOBO Cuba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swanzky comes into the arena with Indestructible blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuba tries to clinch up.

Cuba throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Swanzky was covering up waiting for the punch and Cuba finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cuba kicks off Swanzky and gets to his feet.

Cuba bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Cuba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cuba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

BOBO Cuba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Swanzky's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Cuba postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Swanzky looks a forlorn figure.
Cuba unloads with some shots from mount but Swanzky bucks and avoids them well.
Cuba lands a big shot there that rocks Swanzky but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cuba lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Swanzky is trying to control but can't.

Cuba wants to work for an arm triangle but Swanzky is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Swanzky.
I think Cuba has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
