The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash misses with a double jab.
Nash fails to land the takedown.

Jones gets a takedown into half guard.

Jones escapes and gets back to his feet.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jones decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Nash rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nash misses with a series of wild punches.
Nash swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jones escapes and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nash.

Jones moves into the clinch.

Nash wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Nash bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A swing and a miss from Nash.
Nash looks to clinch

and Jones holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Nash looks gassed!
Nash wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Nash wants to break free but Jones has control.
Jones landing knees to the head.

Nash breaks the clinch.
Nash throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nash wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.

Jones gets the takedown into side control.
Jones controlling the position.
Nash is trying to get back to his feet.

Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nash to his feet.
A head kick by Nash - that's a beauty! Jones is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Nash can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
