PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between TheMegaMan GameMaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Riddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

GameMaster shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Riddick napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Riddick's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

GameMaster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Riddick, who protects the arm well.

Riddick is looking to reverse the position.
Riddick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with GameMaster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
GameMaster tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

GameMaster stands up and beckons Riddick to his feet.
GameMaster throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Riddick's waist but Riddick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing GameMaster off to one side.

GameMaster drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and GameMaster jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

GameMaster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Riddick shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Riddick was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

GameMaster tries to lock up and control but Riddick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

TheMegaMan GameMaster dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

GameMaster frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

TheMegaMan GameMaster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
GameMaster takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

GameMaster is persistently looking for the submission but Riddick is defending it well.
