Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Made (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter's entrance music is 99 Problems Remix. A fine choice. The key to victory for Shawn Carter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter connects with a crisp jab.
Carter ducks under a wild hook from Made.
Made swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Carter.
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carter just misses with a punch to the body.
Carter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Taylor Made seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Made shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carter slips under a jab.
Carter misses with a straight left.
Carter leaves Made with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Made misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Made closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Carter to the mat! Carter manages to get full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Made is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Carter will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Made wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carter keeps working.

Made just content to control the position.
Made is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Made seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Carter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Made is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Made pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carter is keeping the position for now.

Carter misses with a double jab
and Made connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nice jab there from Made.
Made shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carter pinned against the cage. Carter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Made throws out a loose jab but Carter uses good head movement to avoid it.

Made fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Carter sprawls well initially but Made persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Well, if Made is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Made seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Made stalling away here and it's allowed Carter to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Carter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Made looks to land a right hand but Carter moved out of range.
Carter throws a lazy right hand but Made sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Made displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carter throws out the jab.
Made shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Made keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carter punishes Made's body with a nice straight punch.
Made is breathing heavily.
Carter swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Made counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Shawn Carter will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Made changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Made manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Made will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The crowd cheers as Carter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Made doesn't seem phased though.

Carter feints and then cracks Made's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Made down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
