Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Makna Hasha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Johnson's choice of entrance music: Scream - Avenged Sevenfold. John Johnson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson walks into a straight right hand from Hasha.


It looks like John Johnson has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hasha.

Hasha throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hasha off to one side.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Let's hope that Johnson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hasha tries to clinch but Johnson moves away

and Johnson counters with a single leg into guard. Hasha didn't expect that.

Hasha is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hasha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hasha wants to sweep but no luck.

Hasha had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hasha Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead.

Hasha throws and elbow that misses. Johnson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hasha's guard. Nice move by Johnson!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hasha rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hasha is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hasha is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Johnson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Johnson has escaped and now he's on top!

John Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
