Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Tan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks has chosen King Kong - Jibbs as his entrance music. Jason Tan had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Tan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buster Banks!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tan slips under a jab.
Tan lands with an uppercut that bounces Banks off the cage and back into rage.
Tan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Banks takes a swing at Tan's ribcage but misses.
Decent striking displayed by Tan there.
Banks tries to bum rush Tan with a series of wild strikes but Tan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Banks tries to clinch there but Tan circles away.
Banks fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Banks shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tan is trying to defend but Banks finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Banks passes to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tan is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Tan is looking to regain half guard here but Banks keeps moving and retains side control.

Tan stops Banks from passing to mount.
The strikes coming from Banks are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Banks controlling the position from side mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Banks looking to control but instead Tan has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Banks is stalling here. Tan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Banks seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Tan prevents Banks from improving his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tan content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Banks trying to control here.
Tan seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Banks moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buster Banks dominated that round.

Tan takes one to the side of the head.
Banks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tan.
Banks has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tan finds it's way round the side to connect with Banks's head.
Tan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Banks throws a head kick but Tan moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Banks.

Banks sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Tan to the ground! Banks dives into full mount looking to finish!


Tan is rocked!


It looks like Jason Tan has been cut.
Banks connects with a bit shot that sees Tan covering up! More strikes from Banks and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Banks is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buster Banks!
