Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bam Bam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brantt Myhres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bam comes to the cage accompanied by Military Soviet Hymn . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myhres missing with a left hand there. Bam was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bam shoots in but no luck this time.
Bam has a takedown stuffed.
Bam fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Myhres misses with a double jab.
Bam avoids a punch combination nicely.

Bam drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bam throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Bam tries to score with some ground and pound. Myhres controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Bam tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bam has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bam is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Myhres is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bam lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Myhres down.
Bam content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Bam goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Myhres rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bam's guard! Nice work there by Myhres!

Bam is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Myhres is aware though and is defending well.

Bam has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Myhres can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bam is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Myhres's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Myhres seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bam does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Myhres shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Myhres throws an overhand right that lands on Bam's shoulder, as Bam tries to avoid the shot.

Bam feints and as Myhres raises his hands in defense, Bam changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bam accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Myhres utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bam lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bam throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Myhres works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Myhres has momentary wrist control but Bam slips an elbow through the middle.

Bam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Myhres bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bam's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bam manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bam shoots for a double leg takedown but Myhres sprawls well. He's pushed Bam's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bam changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Myhres looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Myhres cracks Bam with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bam looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Myhres finish him?

Myhres throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Brantt Myhres seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Myhres throws a lazy right hand but Bam sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Myhres lands a left and a right that send Bam crashing to the mat, dazed. Myhres thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Myhres lands a really nice looking cross but Bam seems unphased.

Horrible takedown by Bam or perhaps it was just good defense by Myhres which made him look bad.

Bam lands a big shot there that rocks Myhres but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Myhres is bucking up trying to escape but Bam cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Bam is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Myhres can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Brantt Myhres has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee warns Myhres that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Myhres tries to lock up and control but Bam gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bam Bam is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
