Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cheeto Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Noel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noel has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Noel!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Noel looks gassed!
Ortiz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Noel misses with a hook.
Ortiz misses with a takedown attempt - Noel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ortiz tries for a takedown but Noel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ortiz shoots in looking for a takedown. Noel tries to sprawl out of it but Ortiz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Noel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ortiz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Noel was covering up waiting for the punch and Ortiz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ortiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ortiz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ortiz is landing with some decent strikes but Noel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Noel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ortiz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Noel is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ortiz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
