Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vadim Finkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Akinfeev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finkle comes to the cage accompanied by NWO. Akinfeev is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 50 - Psycho. Roman Akinfeev told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finkle throws a series of punches but Akinfeev avoids them all with ease.
Finkle throws and low kick but Akinfeev moves out of range easily.
Finkle stuffs the takedown.
Akinfeev misses with a double jab
and Finkle counters with a straight right hand.
Akinfeev takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Akinfeev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Finkle counters with a one-two to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Finkle tries to bum rush Akinfeev with a series of wild strikes but Akinfeev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Finkle scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Roman Akinfeev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Finkle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice shot lands for Finkle.

That has opened up Roman Akinfeev's cut even more.

A nice inside leg kick there by Finkle. That's going to slow Akinfeev down.
Finkle scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Finkle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Akinfeev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Finkle makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Akinfeev takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Finkle lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

The cut above Roman Akinfeev's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Finkle scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Finkle drops Akinfeev with a beautiful combination! Akinfeev stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Finkle is looking for the KO!

and Akinfeev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Roman Akinfeev's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Roman Akinfeev's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
