Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tazuboku Kayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paolo Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kayo's entrance music is Flipsyde - Someday. A fine choice. Da Silva has chosen Capoeira do Brasil (Sergio Mendes & Brazil 66) as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Paolo Da Silva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tazuboku Kayo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paolo Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Da Silva misses the target.
Da Silva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Da Silva advances position into side control!
Da Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Kayo is defending well.
Kayo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Da Silva looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kayo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Da Silva takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Da Silva throws a combination. Kayo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Da Silva misses with a wild combination.
Da Silva throws a jab but it's blocked by Kayo.
Kayo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Da Silva counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kayo wriggles free and stands up.
Da Silva feints and as Kayo raises his hands in defense, Da Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Da Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Da Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kayo pushes Da Silva off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Da Silva gets the takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Da Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Kayo is defending well.
Kayo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Da Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Da Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kayo, who protects the arm well.
Kayo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Da Silva misses with a takedown attempt
and Kayo counters with a takedown into side control.
Da Silva is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kayo controls the position.
Kayo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Da Silva keeps working.
Kayo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Da Silva will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Kayo wants to control but Da Silva is keeping him busy.
Da Silva is looking for a sweep.

Kayo trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Da Silva misses with an uppercut. Kayo saw that one coming.
Da Silva throws a hook but Kayo blocks it.
A cross from Kayo lands.
Kayo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Da Silva misses with a takedown
and Kayo counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kayo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paolo Da Silva dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Kayo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Da Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Da Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kayo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kayo!
Kayo lands with an overhand left.
Da Silva takes one to the chin there.
Kayo throws a looping overhand right but Da Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Kayo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Da Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kayo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Da Silva's guard now.
Tazuboku Kayo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paolo Da Silva.

Kayo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Da Silva is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Kayo frees his head nicely. Oh but Da Silva has switched to an armbar! Kayo is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
