The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch there but Billbo circles away.
Billbo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Billbo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones throws a combination. Billbo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Billbo defends it nicely.

Jones leaves Billbo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Billbo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Billbo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Billbo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Billbo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Billbo seems to be working for a kimura but Jones defends the submission attempt.

Billbo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones is looking to improve his position.
Billbo is looking for a kimura but Jones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Billbo to get the leverage.
Billbo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work.
Billbo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Billbo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Billbo pulls his head out easily.
Billbo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Billbo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Billbo.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones is trying to control but can't.
Jones wants to get back to full guard but Billbo has mounted him!
Billbo wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely.
Jones is looking to get to half guard.
Billbo looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Billbo takes Jones's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Jones is in trouble.
Jones is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Billbo is looking for the choke from the back position but Jones is controlling his hands well.
Billbo is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jones has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Billbo has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jones taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Billbo doesn't care though - he's delighted!
