PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hasan husssain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bourne kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Fuel. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourne lands with a straight right. husssain didn't see that one coming.
Bourne tries to land a leg kick but husssain saw it coming and moves away.
husssain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bourne swivels and escapes.
husssain drops his hands momentarily and Bourne takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bourne throws a nice looking combination but husssain bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jason Bourne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of hasan husssain.
Bourne tries to clinch up.
husssain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bourne tries to avoid it but husssain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bourne to the ground. Bourne escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bourne pushes husssain up against the cage in a clinch.

Bourne changes levels and goes for a takedown here. husssain fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Bourne will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bourne is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, husssain asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bourne takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
husssain looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bourne is avoiding damage well.
husssain happy to just control the position for now.
husssain in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Bourne is looking to work his way out of this bad position but husssain is controlling him well.
husssain remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bourne seems a little lost for a moment, as husssain dominates the positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

hasan husssain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

husssain tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no husssain has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

You get the feeling that Bourne really doesn't like being in this position too much.
husssain takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
