Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hikaru Monotoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Saburo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Hikaru Monotoshi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hikaru Monotoshi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monotoshi gets a takedown into half guard.
Saburo is looking for a sweep. Monotoshi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Saburo is defending against the submission attempts here by Monotoshi.

Saburo is staying active underneath Monotoshi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Monotoshi wants to work for an arm triangle but Saburo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Saburo wants to control but Monotoshi is keeping busy.
Monotoshi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saburo tries to kick Monotoshi off but Monotoshi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Monotoshi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Saburo sees it coming and defends easily.

Monotoshi stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Saburo to get to his feet.

Saburo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Monotoshi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Monotoshi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Saburo prevents it.
Monotoshi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Saburo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hikaru Monotoshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Saburo.
Monotoshi has hold of one of Saburo's legs. Saburo is fighting the takedown attempt but Monotoshi gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Monotoshi tries to free his leg and advance position but Saburo is retaining full guard.
Monotoshi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Monotoshi stands and throws Saburo's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Saburo wants to hold on but Monotoshi pushes him away.
Monotoshi swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
