Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sandro Rturi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Curcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sandro Rturi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ivan Curcic!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curcic shoots in but no luck this time.
Curcic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rturi circles away.
Curcic tries to clinch up.
Rturi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Curcic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Curcic will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rturi looks to land a left hand but Curcic moved out of range nicely.

Rturi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rturi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Curcic's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Curcic wants to stand and escape but Rturi is having none of it.

Curcic can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rturi is looking to escape.

Rturi sneaks out the side door and pushes Curcic away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Rturi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Curcic on the ground.

Rturi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Curcic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rturi won't allow Curcic to sweep him here.
Rturi wants to stand but Curcic is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Curcic misses with a takedown

and Rturi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Curcic's guard.
Rturi stands up out of Curcic's guard for a moment - Curcic manages to land a nice upkick.
Rturi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Curcic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rturi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Curcic is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rturi seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Curcic is looking for a sweep. Rturi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rturi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
