Beckerman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Era - Enae Volare Mezzo. Pillay is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Nickelback - Woke Up This Morning. TJ Beckerman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beckerman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pillay to the mat! Pillay manages to get full guard.

Pillay stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Beckerman.

Beckerman feints and as Pillay raises his hands in defense, Beckerman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Beckerman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Beckerman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Beckerman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Beckerman misses with a takedown attempt - Pillay sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pillay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beckerman was well out of range. Poor timing from Pillay.

Beckerman lands a big head kick that sends Pillay tumbling to the mat! Beckerman takes a step backwards and waves Pillay back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Beckerman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pillay is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Beckerman has latched onto it... Big trouble! Beckerman pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Pillay is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Beckerman!
