The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beanhead uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Maia has time to react.
Maia takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Maia closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Beanhead is looking for a sweep. Maia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Maia is working for a kimura but Beanhead is defending it quite comfortably.
