The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ito jabs at Takeda's body.
Takeda tries to clinch there but Ito circles away.
Ito misses with a takedown attempt - Takeda sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Takeda blocks a head kick by Ito.
Takeda scores with a spinning back kick!
Takeda tries to clinch up.
Nice sprawl there from Takeda as Ito shoots in.

Takeda rushes Ito and presses him up against the ropes.

Takeda pulls Ito into guard.
Takeda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ito won't allow Takeda to pass to mount.
Ito is refusing to be controlled, as Takeda sits in half guard.
Ito punching from the bottom.

Ito works his way to full guard. Good work.
Takeda trying to control but Ito is working from the bottom.
Takeda thows a big elbow that misses.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Takeda throws a series of punches but Ito avoids them all with ease.
Ito misses with a double jab.
Takeda throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ito swats away the attempt to clinch by Takeda.
Takeda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ito swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shingo Takeda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takeda doesn't manage to clinch there - Ito circles away.
Ito fails with a takedown attempt.
Shingo Takeda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junji Ito.
Jab, jab by Takeda - just one landing.

Takeda throws a wild body kick that Ito sees coming a mile off.

Takeda pulls Ito into guard.

Takeda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ito gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Takeda pushes a forearm under Ito's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ito is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
