Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Buddy!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Purcell Jr fails to land the takedown.
Some wild striking there from Purcell Jr.
Purcell Jr tries to bum rush Buddy with a series of wild strikes but Buddy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Purcell Jr looks to land a left hand but Buddy moved out of range nicely.
Buddy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Purcell Jr has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Buddy finds it's way round the side to connect with Purcell Jr's head.
Purcell Jr takes a jab right on the kisser.


It looks like Eddie Purcell Jr has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Buddy connects with a body shot.
Purcell Jr is breathing heavily.

Buddy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Purcell Jr was covering up waiting for the punch and Buddy finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Despite being in the dominant position, Robert Buddy just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Purcell Jr throws the kick towards the body but Buddy avoids it.
A swing and a miss from Buddy.
Purcell Jr tries to clinch up but Buddy circles away and keeps his distance.
Buddy tests Purcell Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Buddy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Purcell Jr shoots and misses
and Buddy counters with a two punch combo.
Buddy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Buddy moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Buddy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Purcell Jr wants to clinch but Buddy slips to the side

and Buddy counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Buddy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Purcell Jr has hold of Buddy's hands but Buddy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Purcell Jr tries to roll over but Buddy keeps him under control.
Buddy uses his free foot to push down on Purcell Jr's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Purcell Jr.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Buddy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Buddy connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Buddy looking to control and managing it successfully.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Robert Buddy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Robert Buddy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Buddy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
