Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Krzysiek Sikora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sikora ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Smith waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sikora.

Sikora instigates a clinch.
Smith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sikora has him pressed against the cage.
Smith trying to stall but Sikora improves his position.
Sikora cracks Smith with a nice body shot.
Sikora pushes Smith back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Sikora works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith has his foot on Sikora's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sikora works his way back into a safe position though.
Smith wants to sweep here but Sikora controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sikora slips a straight right by Smith.
Smith misses with a straight left.
Sikora slips under a jab from Smith.
Sikora shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Sikora takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Smith misses with a hook.
Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Sikora avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Smith might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Sikora bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Smith lands a nice hook to Sikora's body. Sikora takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sikora fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Smith sprawls well initially but Sikora persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith is refusing to be controlled, as Sikora sits in half guard.

Smith has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Sikora. Oh but Smith has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Sikora goes limp - he's gone! Smith jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
