Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandi Montague (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augusto comes into the arena with Killing in the Name Of blaring out of the sound system. Brandi Montague has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dan Augusto's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augusto closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Montague shoots for a double leg takedown but Augusto sprawls well. He's pushed Montague's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Augusto bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Montague tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Augusto wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Montague is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Montague is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Augusto has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Montague scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Augusto gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Montague decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Augusto, up you get!

and Montague decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Augusto's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Augusto turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Montague off and cradles Augusto's limp body as Montague celebrates with his corner.
