Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Boomhauer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gacy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boomhauer's half guard.
Boomhauer tries to kick Gacy off but Gacy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gacy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Boomhauer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gacy passes the guard and advances to mount!
Boomhauer is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Gacy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Boomhauer was covering up waiting for the punch and Gacy finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gacy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Boomhauer wanted to stand there but Gacy had control of the position.

Boomhauer gets to his feet. Gacy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Gacy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Boomhauer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's time! Boomhauer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Boomhauer wants to get back to his feet but Gacy is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boomhauer manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Gacy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Boomhauer can pounce on him.

Gacy throws a hook to the side of Boomhauer's head but Boomhauer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Boomhauer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gacy has time to react.

Boomhauer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Boomhauer walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gacy checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Boomhauer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Boomhauer leaves Gacy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gacy misses the shot to the body.
Gacy slips a jab and a cross from Boomhauer.
Boomhauer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gacy's calf.

Boomhauer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gacy was well out of range. Poor timing from Boomhauer.
Boomhauer scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Boomhauer slaps away a takedown attempt from Gacy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gacy slips a straight right by Boomhauer.
Gacy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice shot lands for Boomhauer.
Boomhauer throws a front kick aimed at Gacy's knee but Gacy avoids it well.
Boomhauer throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Boomhauer throws out a powerful jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Good leg kick by Boomhauer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Gacy counters with a single leg into guard. Boomhauer didn't expect that.
Boomhauer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gacy is controlling him.

Gacy prevents Boomhauer from getting back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gacy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Boomhauer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gacy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Boomhauer lands a really nice looking cross but Gacy seems unphased.

John Gacy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gacy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boomhauer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Boomhauer is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Boomhauer manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Boomhauer wants to get back to his feet.
Gacy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Boomhauer is looking to escape.

Gacy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Gacy trying to control the action but Boomhauer is working from the bottom.
Boomhauer is trying to stand back up but Gacy is controlling him
Boomhauer wants to get back to full guard but Gacy has passed into side control.
Gacy misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Boomhauer tries to reverse the position but Gacy maintains control.
Gacy is landing with some decent strikes but Boomhauer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Boomhauer avoids a strike by Gacy and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Gacy's guard! Fantastic escape!

Gacy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

John Gacy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gacy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
