Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shanks McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pauly Brown!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

McGee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard.

McGee connects with a couple of short punches.

McGee gets to his feet. Brown looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Brown escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brown misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McGee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McGee tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McGee tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Shanks McGee just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Brown gets caught flat footed, as McGee shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Brown can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McGee controls the pace.

McGee decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brown, up you get!

McGee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McGee showed some decent athleticism there.
McGee uses his free foot to push down on Brown's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brown.
BOOM! McGee connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McGee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

McGee stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Brown throws a right hand that McGee ducks under and follows up with a left that McGee also avoids with ease.

McGee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Brown wants to break free but McGee has control.
The referee calls for McGee to work.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
McGee tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
McGee tries for a takedown but Brown manages to get underhooks.

McGee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McGee pulls out of a head kick attempt.

McGee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brown's half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McGee in particular looking to stall.

McGee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
McGee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brown for as long as he can get away with.
Pauly Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McGee stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Brown to get to his feet.
McGee misses with an attempted mid kick.

McGee has Brown pressed against the cage, preventing Brown from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
McGee is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brown can do to turn this around?

McGee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brown to the mat! Brown manages to get full guard.
McGee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
McGee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
McGee works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Brown takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Well McGee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
