Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lotriet tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Merit paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Merit doesn't manage to clinch there - Lotriet circles away.
Merit is looking to clinch.
Lotriet should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A jab from Lotriet does it's job there.

Merit clinches.
Lotriet looking to throw knees to the head but Merit is blocking nicely.
Merit gets underhooks to prevent Lotriet's takedown attempt.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Merit prevents the takedown attempt.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Merit is pressed up against the cage. Lotriet has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Merit down to the mat. Merit avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Mike Merit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leila Lotriet.
Lotriet dives in and grabs Merit's left leg, looking for a takedown. Merit pushes down on Lotriet's head and hops out.
Merit shoots in but Lotriet avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lotriet scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Merit throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Lotriet shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Merit napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lotriet is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Merit has escaped the position, nice work there.
Merit is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Lotriet decides to stand back up. Lotriet steps back and let's Merit get back to his feet.
Lotriet looks gassed!
Lotriet doesn't manage to clinch there - Merit circles away.
Lotriet goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Lotriet takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Merit is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lotriet with a poor takedown
and Merit counters with a two punch combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Merit lands with a nice body punch.

Merit lands a left and a right that send Lotriet crashing to the mat, dazed. Merit thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Merit rushes Lotriet and presses him up against the cage.

Merit pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Merit wants to clinch up but Lotriet keeps it at a distance.
Merit displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Lotriet is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Merit knocks Lotriet out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
