Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in but sayin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
sayin squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

sayin is trying to reverse the position but instead Gracie has taken his back - oops!

sayin tries to roll but Gracie sticks to his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
sayin holding both Gracie 's hands and preventing any damage.
Gracie has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of sayin's body.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
I looks like Gracie might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gracie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

sayin tries to break free.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Gracie controlling the positon.
sayin is really stuck here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
sayin tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
sayin is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

sayin with a poor takedown

and Gracie counters with a single leg into guard. sayin didn't expect that.

sayin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. sayin is keeping the position for now.

sayin pushes Gracie off and gets back to his feet.

Gracie gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on sayin's face as Gracie controls the position.

sayin is looking to regain half guard here but Gracie keeps moving and retains side control.
Gracie is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down sayin's shoulder. That is not cool.

Gracie laying and praying for a moment but sayin takes advantage and regains half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Renzo Gracie just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gracie.

sayin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back!
sayin is not going to allow Gracie to sit and survive in this position.
sayin is looking to control Gracie but Gracie is wriggling around and keeping busy.

sayin has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gracie has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
Gracie wants to control from the top but sayin keeps moving.

Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed sayin's guard.
Renzo Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gracie prevents sayin from standing back up.
Gracie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
sayin is looking to escape.

Still in half guard, Gracie seems content to control.
