Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Den Goods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goods buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ferguson doesn't manage to clinch there - Goods circles away.
Ferguson throws out a loose jab but Goods uses good head movement to avoid it.
Goods showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ferguson.
Ferguson throws a series of punches but Goods avoids them all with ease.

Goods rushes Ferguson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ferguson tries to pull guard but Goods holds him up against the cage and eventually Ferguson drops back down to his feet.
Goods tries to pull guard but Ferguson won't allow it.

Ferguson pulls guard successfully.
Goods prevents Ferguson from getting back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goods accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ferguson is looking to stand up but Goods isn't so interested in that idea.
Goods wants to control from the top but Ferguson keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ferguson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ferguson throws a hook but Goods blocks it.
Ferguson keeps the fight on the outside.
Ferguson misses with a straight left.
Nice takedown defense from Goods. No joy for Ferguson on that attempt.

Ferguson wants to stand but Goods has his arm trapped.
Goods wants to get back to his feet but Ferguson drags him back down.

Ferguson tries to stand and escape but Goods is controlling the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ferguson dives in and grabs Goods's left leg, looking for a takedown. Goods pushes down on Ferguson's head and hops out.
Ferguson tries to clinch up
and Goods cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
An inside leg kick lands from Goods.
Ferguson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Goods was well out of range. Poor timing from Ferguson.
Ferguson throws a combination that misses

and Goods counters by moving into the clinch.
Ferguson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ferguson tries to score a body lock takedown but Goods shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Ferguson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Goods smiles and moves away.
Ferguson fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Den Goods will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ferguson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Goods is looking to work some ground and pound but Ferguson has wrist control.

Goods drops back looking for a leg! Ferguson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ferguson manages to kick Goods off! Goods jumps back into Ferguson's guard.

Goods in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Ferguson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ferguson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goods. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ferguson gets a clinch.
Goods throws a head punch that misses.
Ferguson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Goods gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ferguson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goods pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ferguson is breathing heavily.
Ferguson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goods avoids it really well and circles away.
Den Goods has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Ferguson.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

and Goods decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ferguson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goods stops Ferguson from standing up.
Goods trying to control but Ferguson is working from the bottom.
Ferguson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ferguson looks to clinch

so Goods counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Goods landing with the ground and pound.
Goods throwing strikes from guard but Ferguson blocks nicely.

Goods drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ferguson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ferguson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ferguson!
Goods is looking to regain half guard here but Ferguson keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Den Goods dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Ferguson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Goods counters with a takedown into side control.
Ferguson is trying to control Goods's posture but Goods avoids it.
Goods misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ferguson is looking for a sweep.
Ferguson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Goods is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ferguson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Goods tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ferguson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Goods thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Goods lands a nice forearm strike.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Goods throws an elbow but Ferguson slips to the side and avoids it well.
Goods wants to control but Ferguson is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferguson tries to bench press Goods off him but Goods keeps the position.

Goods working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ferguson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Goods is controlling him well.

Goods goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ferguson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Goods's guard! Nice work there by Ferguson!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ferguson tries to stand but Goods is controlling from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Den Goods showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Goods has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
