Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Huang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huang has chosen Special Agent Huang as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Huang!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Davis with that takedown attempt.
A combination from Huang does no damage.
Nice takedown defense from Huang. No joy for Davis on that attempt.

Huang moves into the clinch.

Huang has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Davis is trying to keep an underhook but Huang manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Davis wants to get back to full guard.
Davis is working hard here to advance position.

Huang is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Huang thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Huang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Davis on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Huang. Huang obviously looking to wear him down.
Davis checks a low kick from Huang.
Huang throws a right and a left that Davis avoids nicely.
Huang scores with a jab.

Davis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Huang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Davis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Huang drives through and clinches with Davis against the cage.
Davis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Huang smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Davis fails to land the takedown.

Huang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Huang looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Huang is working for a kimura but Davis is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis is looking for a sweep. Huang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Huang is taking a breather. Davis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Davis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Huang throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Huang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Huang moves into range and clinches up with Davis.

Huang has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Davis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Huang somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Huang is breathing heavily.
Davis tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Davis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Huang looking to finish Davis with some ground and pound. This is bad for Davis!
Huang cracks Davis with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Huang wants to take his opponent's back but Davis doesn't allow it.
Huang controlling the position easily from mount.
Davis is squirming around, avoiding Huang's attempts to control the action.
Huang is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Davis can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Huang wants to control the pace but Davis is squirming around nicely.

Huang looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Davis tries to lock up and control but Huang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Huang looking to control but Davis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Davis sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Davis tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Huang decides to return to a standing position.
A good leg kick by Huang.

Davis slips a jab and a cross from Huang.
Huang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Huang rushes Davis and presses him up against the cage.
Huang landing knees to the head.

Huang gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Huang trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Davis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Huang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Huang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Huang drops back looking for a leg! Davis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davis manages to kick Huang off! Huang jumps back into Davis's guard.
George Huang has got the better of the ground game so far.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Huang gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Davis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Huang defends it easily.
Huang trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Huang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Huang throws a combination. Davis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Davis wants to clinch

and Huang counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Huang is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Davis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Huang.

Davis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Davis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Huang got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Huang has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted.
Huang loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Huang wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving.

Davis has his foot on Huang's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Huang works his way back into a safe position though.

Huang drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Huang seems to have locked his on tight now - Davis screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Huang, as he picks up the win!
