The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hobbs pinned against the cage. Hobbs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hobbs throws the left hand but Gomez avoids the punch easily.
Gomez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hobbs pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Hobbs throws an overhand right that lands on Gomez's shoulder, as Gomez tries to avoid the shot.
Hobbs loads up on a big right hand but Gomez slips the punch.

Gomez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gomez is trying to control. Hobbs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Gomez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hobbs defends it well.
