The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kalonji closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sagard did well to prevent Kalonji getting side control.
Sagard is trying to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, Kalonji seems content to control.
Kalonji is trying to control. Sagard wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kalonji could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kalonji thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sagard is looking to control Kalonji's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sagard avoid being mounted?

Kalonji stands up out of the half guard.
Sagard swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sagard misses with the combination.
Sagard throws a right and a left that Kalonji avoids nicely.
Kalonji shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sagard but Sagard pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sagard pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A head kick misses from Sagard.
Sagard lands a with a good body shot.
Sagard connects with a right hand. Kalonji shakes it off.
Kalonji is breathing heavily.
Kalonji drops his hands momentarily and Sagard takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Sagard tries to bum rush Kalonji with a series of wild strikes but Kalonji uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sagard connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Kalonji is rocked!
Sagard throws a leg kick that misses.
Sagard fakes the body blow, causing Kalonji to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Kalonji goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
