Van Dam comes into the arena with C R E A M By The Wu-Tang Clan blaring out of the sound system. Elion Mamumbo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamumbo tries for a takedown but Van Dam sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Van Dam throws a series of punches but Mamumbo moves out of range.
Van Dam throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Van Dam misses with a double jab.
No luck for Mamumbo with that takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Dam throws a nice looking combination but Mamumbo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mamumbo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Van Dam's waist but Van Dam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mamumbo off to one side.

Van Dam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mamumbo circles away quickly and effectively.
Van Dam throws a hook to the side of Mamumbo's head but Mamumbo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Horrible takedown by Mamumbo or perhaps it was just good defense by Van Dam which made him look bad.
