The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Avit misses with a wild combination.
Diaz loads up on a big right hand but Avit slips the punch.
The crowd cheers as Avit lands an impressive looking overhand right. Diaz doesn't seem phased though.

Diaz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Avit counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Diaz can't keep his opponent in guard - Avit advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Avit looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Avit moves into full mount! Diaz won't be happy about that!

Avit looking to secure an arm triangle but Diaz defends it well.

The referee warns Diaz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Avit wants to control the pace but Diaz is squirming around nicely.

Avit is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Diaz is forced to tap! Great finish!
