Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Longfellow Deeds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Zullo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deeds's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Evils Deeds. Zullo has chosen Assistant To The Regional Manager - The Devil Wears Prada as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Longfellow Deeds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Zullo!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deeds takes a swing at Zullo's ribcage but misses.
The fighters circling - Deeds throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zullo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Deeds wants to clinch up but Zullo keeps it at a distance.

Zullo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Deeds looking for a sweep but Zullo has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Zullo prevents Deeds from getting the reversal.
Zullo wants to take his opponent's back but Deeds doesn't allow it.
Deeds really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Deeds bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Deeds throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Deeds throws and elbow that misses. Zullo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Deeds's guard. Nice move by Zullo!

Zullo trying to control the position from guard on top but Deeds is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Deeds isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Zullo stacks Deeds on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Zullo!
Deeds tries to bench press Zullo off him but Zullo keeps the position.
Zullo in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Deeds is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Zullo asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Deeds regains half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Deeds moves into full guard.

Deeds is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Deeds bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zullo's guard.

Deeds postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Zullo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Deeds, into his guard.
Deeds is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Deeds is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zullo defends well.

Zullo trying to control the position from guard on top but Deeds is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Zullo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Deeds kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Deeds is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Deeds wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zullo keeps working.
Zullo trying to hold on to Deeds's head to control him but Deeds postures up.
Deeds thows a huge punch but Zullo dodges it nicely.
Zullo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Deeds is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Zullo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Deeds missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Deeds wants to work for an arm triangle but Zullo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zullo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Deeds scores with a couple of nice shots.
Deeds wants to control but Zullo is keeping him busy.

Deeds is working for a submission of some sort.
Zullo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deeds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Deeds is breathing heavily.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Deeds throws a hook but Zullo avoids it easily.

Deeds gets a takedown into half guard.

Deeds in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Zullo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Deeds!
