Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Energizer Bunny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zero is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: José the Bronx Rican - Spittin' Narcicism. Energizer Bunny has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Energizer Bunny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Zero!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zero closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bunny did well to prevent Zero getting side control.
Zero is pressing down on Bunny's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bunny is holding on for now.
Bunny is refusing to be controlled, as Zero sits in half guard.

Zero is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bunny is looking for a sweep. Zero is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bunny is trying to control but can't.
Bunny moves into full guard.

Zero drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zero jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Zero stands up over Bunny, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bunny avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zero wants to control from the top but Bunny keeps moving.
Bunny wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zero pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bunny is keeping the position for now.

Bunny is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bunny is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Zero is working Bunny over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bunny will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zero looking to pass the guard.
Zero working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Zero is fighting to break Bunny's control of his arms but Bunny is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Zero wants to stand but Bunny is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bunny manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bunny can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zero is looking to escape.
Bunny is really struggling to control Zero but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Zero tries to lock up and control but Bunny gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bunny working for a guillotine from mount but Zero is in no mood to give up.
Bunny avoids the attempt from Zero to control.
Zero keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bunny trying to control but Zero is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bunny get's back to his feet.

Zero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zero lands in his opponent's guard.

A close round but Max Zero will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bunny's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bunny thows a body shot but no joy.

Zero changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bunny looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Zero working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Zero wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bunny keeps working.
Bunny tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Zero presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Zero goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bunny turns into him and now he's in Zero's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Zero throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Bunny wants to control from the top but Zero keeps moving.

Zero tries to roll over but Bunny keeps him under control.
Zero is staying active underneath Bunny, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Zero is looking to improve his position.

Bunny seems to be looking for submissions.
Zero is trying to stand back up but Bunny is controlling him
Zero manages to get to full guard.
Zero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bunny is one step ahead there.
Max Zero has got the better of the ground game so far.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bunny wanted to stand there but Zero had control of the position.
Bunny throws a big right hand that misses.

Zero trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Zero is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bunny defends well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Max Zero comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Zero has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
