Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdual Jemall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henryk Walezy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henryk Walezy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Henryk Walezy!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jemall shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Walezy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jemall looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Walezy is avoiding damage well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Walezy is trying to get back to half guard.
Walezy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jemall has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jemall is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Walezy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jemall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jemall wants to stand and escape but Walezy is having none of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Abdual Jemall will probably get the nod.

Jemall has one foot on Walezy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Abdual Jemall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jemall, as that shot connected.

Walezy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jemall was covering up waiting for the punch and Walezy finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Walezy wants to stand but Jemall is controlling his posture from full guard.
Walezy is breathing heavily.

Jemall pushes Walezy off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Jemall moves into range and clinches up with Walezy.
Walezy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jemall just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jemall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jemall is looking for a kimura but Walezy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jemall to get the leverage.

Jemall thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Walezy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jemall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Walezy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jemall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jemall connects with a nice short shot to Walezy's temple.

That was a close second round but I would say that Abdual Jemall will probably get the nod.

Jemall looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Walezy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
