Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jax Karthus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichi Blunts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blunts has chosen Serius Jones - Bars as his entrance music. Ichi Blunts acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blunts throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Karthus's waist but Karthus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blunts off to one side.
Karthus moves in looking to clinch but Blunts pushes him off.
Karthus wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Karthus shoots in and drives through. Blunts sprawls well.
Blunts shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Karthus as he avoids it easily.
Blunts wants to clinch but Karthus slips to the side
and Karthus counters with a three punch combo that has Blunts backing up. Blunts nods at Karthus to acknowledge the strikes.

and Karthus counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Blunts closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Karthus wants to control but Blunts postures up.
Karthus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blunts on the ground.
Karthus managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Blunts.
Blunts sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Karthus is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Blunts looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Blunts advances to mount.
Karthus is looking to get to half guard.

Blunts working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Karthus looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Blunts! Submission of the night perhaps?
