Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Estrada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Mica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felipe Estrada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, John Mica!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mica fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mica will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mica changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Estrada looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Estrada regains half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mica has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mica there as he acknowledges the shot.
Felipe Estrada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Estrada tries to bum rush Mica with a series of wild strikes but Mica uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Estrada's corner calls for a 1-2. Estrada obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Mica is rocked!
Mica feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mica is still in real trouble! Can Estrada finish him?

Estrada thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Estrada is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mica seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Estrada looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Mica tries to roll over but Estrada keeps him under control.

Estrada lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Estrada tries to lock up and control but Mica gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Estrada is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Estrada sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Estrada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Estrada is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Estrada is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Estrada jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mica walks into a left hand.
Estrada moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felipe Estrada dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Estrada throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Mica stumbling backwards into the cage! Mica bounces back off the cage towards Estrada, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Estrada lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Estrada celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Felipe Estrada!
