Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gee Eye Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Rocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocket has chosen Riot Time- Powerman 5000 as his entrance music. Joe is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rocket gets a takedown into half guard.
Joe is breathing heavily.

Rocket decides to stand and escape the position.

Rocket closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Rocket decides to stand back up. Rocket steps back and let's Joe get back to his feet.
Joe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Rocket counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Joe's guard now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rocket gets to his feet - Joe follows without any prompting.
Joe doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rocket counters with a shoot takedown. Joe fights it but they end up in guard.

Joe is rocked!

Rocket gets to his feet. Joe looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Oh Joe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rocket closes the distance and clinches.

Rocket breaks from the clinch.

Rocket lands a huge takedown. Joe is out but the ref is slow to react and Rocket lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Joe lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
