PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Itachi Uchiha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osvaldo Braga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Uchiha might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgARus5JFQY. Osvaldo Braga will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Osvaldo Braga!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uchiha fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Braga scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Itachi Uchiha has been cut.
Uchiha could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Braga connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Uchiha slaps away a takedown attempt from Braga, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Uchiha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Braga is fending him off so far but Uchiha persists. Nope, Braga circles away and we're back to standing.
Braga works the jab nicely.
Braga scores with the left hand. Uchiha knows he should have avoided that one.
Braga lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Braga.
Uchiha gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Braga.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Uchiha fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Itachi Uchiha. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Uchiha shoots for a takedown but Braga saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Osvaldo Braga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uchiha on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Uchiha fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Uchiha is breathing heavily.
Uchiha tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Braga swivels and escapes.
Braga connects with a right hand. Uchiha shakes it off.
Braga closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Braga lands a left and a right that send Uchiha crashing to the mat, dazed. Braga thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Uchiha is rocked!
Braga lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Oh Uchiha is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Itachi Uchiha's cut is getting worse.
Braga getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Braga lands with a big left! Uchiha is wobbled badly! Braga comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Uchiha to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
