Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brycen Gionet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tamdan McCrory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gionet comes to the cage accompanied by "Mosh" by Eminem. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gionet looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Gionet counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McCrory!
Gionet looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
McCrory is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Gionet jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McCrory manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Gionet had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McCrory defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McCrory throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gionet's waist but Gionet gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McCrory off to one side.

Gionet postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McCrory is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gionet, into his guard.

McCrory makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Brycen Gionet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gionet has his foot on McCrory's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCrory works his way back into a safe position though.
