The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weedly moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Weedly gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows thai to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Bas Weedly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Weedly fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with thai, pushing him back against the cage.

Weedly wants to get back to his feet but thai is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Weedly engages and cracks thai with a massive lead left hook - thai tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Weedly is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
