The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCool shoots for a double leg takedown but McDougall sprawls well. He's pushed McCool's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McCool shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
McCool throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
McCool avoids the attempt from McDougall to control.
McDougall is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
McDougall tries to hold on but McCool postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCool scoring with strikes but McDougall is staying in there.

It looks like Angus McDougall has been cut.
McCool with shots to the head and body - McDougall looks very uncomfortable down there.
McDougall is bucking up trying to escape but McCool cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McDougall seems to have got his legs back now.
